Overview

  Boreals are heavily downed Nioqim from the northern polar continent. Like the Draquens, Boreals are capable of flight—unlike Draquens, their wings are broad with slots in the patagia to catch thermals. Boreals can takeoff from the ground easier as well, whilst Draquens may need a bit of a running start. They have a thick, luscious mane that covers their entire neck and chest, with very short antenna and cresting hidden within it. This mane, as well as the rest of their body, grows a thicker overcoat in colder temperatures. Because of this, Boreals are poor swimmers, and swimming during winter can easily prove fatal.
